Doctor Nguyen Tri Thuc, Director of Cho Ray Hospital, said on April 17 that in the past week, an automatic medical declaration system with a facial recognition camera has been deployed, helping to save data into the system quickly and accurately.

`It only takes a few seconds for each person to do it instead of needing a few minutes to declare on paper like before, reducing waiting at the hospital gate,` Dr. Thuc shared.

People arriving at the hospital gate, after having their body temperature measured by security guards, will enter the declaration area, use alcohol to wash their hands, stand 2 meters apart according to regulations and use the declaration post.

This is a system researched and designed by the hospital’s information technology experts.

The automatic medical declaration system has a face recognition camera at Cho Ray Hospital.

From April 14, Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital started online medical declaration for people entering the hospital.

Dr. Pham Xuan Dung, Director of Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital, said this process aims to shorten time, save costs, find information easily and store it for a long time.

After accessing the link, the first-time reporter fills in all the information.

Ho Chi Minh City Hospital applies electronic medical declaration

People coming to Ho Chi Minh City Oncology Hospital declare their health online from April 14.

At Ho Chi Minh City Dermatology Hospital, in addition to paper medical declaration, from April 16, people entering the hospital can choose to declare online.

`Everyone can make a medical declaration at home. It is necessary to save the screen of completed online declaration for medical staff to check before entering the hospital,` Dr. Hao shared.

Since early April, people coming to Nguyen Tri Phuong Hospital have also made medical declarations at the kiosk right at the entrance and disinfected their hands before and after operations.

According to Dr. Nguyen Duc Chien, Director of Nguyen Tri Phuong Hospital, the kiosk was made by information technology experts of the hospital.

Doctor Chien analyzes and controls paper medical declarations, leading to overload and many other limitations such as records piling up in hospital function rooms, making it difficult to control and trace in emergency situations.

In early April, the Ministry of Health and Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health directed medical facilities to strengthen epidemic prevention activities so that hospitals do not become places for Covid-19 infection.

The Department of Health of Ho Chi Minh City encourages hospitals to apply online medical declaration forms during the epidemic prevention phase or to contribute to the management of patients and relatives in the future, helping to collect data and contribute to building data.
